The hotel was extremely close to the tube which was handy as the area was pretty rough. generally the place was dark and not overly nice, it was easy to get to everywhere from though but for atmosphere it was lacking |

Hotel Berti is a charming family owned hotel and restaurant which has a very friendly and peaceful atmosphere, very appropriate for a stay in Assisi. It is very convenient for visiting the churches dedicated to St. Francis and St. Claire, as well as casually walking the vias to see the other town sites or the countrysid to San Damiano. The family members that operate the Hotel are helpful and pleasant. The breakfast was a fine Italian style meal with fresh breads, croissants, etc. My dinner meal at the restaurant, which has a simple, earthy and relaxing setting, was traditional and quite delicious. When back in Assisi I would stay at Hotel Berti again. |

A very hospitable manager, the hotel very close to the Basilica of St. Francis and the bus stop for buses going to the railway station. |

I stayed in this hotel for one night and had to leave very early the next morning, while we rush out for check-out, seeing our rush, the owner immediately helped out and even poured some delicious juice and handed a few croissons and yogurts to us. Very nice! |

Easy to find once you get off the bus (C9 is the stop). Free delicious breakfast saved us a lot of money on our trip. Our room was nice and had quite a nice view of Assisi out our window. Would highly recommend this one. |

Although this hotel was the most expensive place we stayed in while in Italy it had a breathtaking view of the Umbrian countryside and of the monastery of St. Francis of Assisi. The room was beautifully painted and decorated. It is the kind of place I would go for a honeymoon and I recommend it, despite the price. |
