Il Ghiro

We loved everything about our stay at Il Ghiro. The location was fantastic as well as the room was so nice. This was definitely far more like staying at a hotel than a hostel. We had a room with a private en suite bathroom which was large with a hairdryer and nice towel. The bed was so comfortable with wonderful bedding. The room was cleaned every day when we got home and looked fantastic. The owners were so welcoming and always available. Would definitely stay here again if we are lucky enough to return to Florence.

Nicest hostel I stayed in out of 4 during my time in Europe. Private double room was attractive and well-kept. Super cozy bed and comforters. Really friendly owner who stayed around the hostel until we arrived because I forgot to let them know we would be arriving following hours and would need an entry code! Wow.

Nice place to saty, near from the train station, near from the center. The staff is really friendly, but they are not often there. Dont forget you dont have breakfast, but its near from a lot of eating places and caffes.

Warm and welcoming. The owner was so helpful and friendly; the location was magnificent (about three minutes walking from the train station-- central to everything AND quiet). I have stayed at numerous hostels but never loved one enough to write about it. Fantastic (clean/spacious/equipped) room and bathroom. Above and beyond. Wish we had much more time here.

This property was fantastic! would stay there again anytime. Amazing size rooms, and so nicely maintained and really clean. The owner was fantastic and as we had restricted time in Florence, he showed us exactly what to see and how to get there. Even told us a local restaurant which specialises in conventional food and it was fantastic as well. Amazing place, would recommend to anyone. Thanks for the superb experience!

The owner is a really nice guy and we had a great chat about some of the local history. The room was quite nice and its fantastic to have the use of a cooking area (there is a fridge, gas cooker and an eating area along one of the walls). Also it is quite a small location so there is certainly not much inside the way of noise from other guests.

Beautiful rooms, Really very good location, Friendly and helpful staff. They even let me put a load of washing on for free. This is a really homely hostel. Could have stayed here for ages!

The host greeted us really kindly and was more than helpful with directions and the use of facilities. Extremely recommend to anyone travelling to Florence. I wish all Hostels were as great as II Ghiro!

Very close to the Train station and the staffs are extremely helpful. there is certainly plenty of good food and marketplace near this hostel. The top portion of this hostel is they supply free usage on their coffee machine which other hostels does not have
