It's easy to find, the location is good, the price cheap. But the breakfast is not that substantial. Good hostel. | Customer Review - 8 March 2010

I had a very good time there. I stayed in the dorms and overall have mostly good things to say. The Good: The staff was very friendly and gave great recommendations for places for me to see and places to have a good and inexpensive meal. They even let me check out very early so I could catch my morning flight. Their English wasn't perfect, but it was still really easy to talk to them. The breakfast was pretty good and it lasted from 8 - 10:30, which was perfect for days when I wanted to get up early or sleep in a little later. They even have computers set up in the lounge on the main floor where you can use the internet for free. They also have free wi-fi if you bring your own lap-top. There is no lockout, they give each resident a key to the front door and a key to your room, which was very convenient. The showers were also pretty good and they even give you two towels (one large and one smaller). Other comments: I would have liked a place to keep my secure items in the dorms, like a small locker or even a safe, just to store my laptop, wallet and travel documents when I was out sightseeing. The staff did offer me to keep my secure items in another room, but then I would have to ask every time I needed them. The bathroom always seemed to be low on soap too, but the bath tissue was always well-stocked. Overall, I would recommend this place pretty highly. | Customer Review - 7 March 2010

The hotel is a characterful italian building with parquet floors and patterned plaster mouldings on the ceiling. A few of the rooms have balconies into the street. Most rooms seem to have a sink and a bidet. Our stay however had two mishaps: first, we were asked to change room with no warning. The receptionist seemed to think we should have been told when we checked in but we had not been. Second, when we got back to our room late on our second night, the room stank of sewage. This bad smell did not dissipate during the night. It seemed to come from the bidet but we could not be sure. The receptionist was very apologetic and thought it was perhaps due to building works on the third floor but did not offer any compensation. A real shame because otherwise it's not a bad hotel in a good location -- we could walk to the cathedral in about 20 minutes along Corso Magenta, a safe street and not too busy. By tram (no 16) or metro, the journey was about 10 minutes. | Hajnalka Hegedus - 1 March 2010

| Hostel reviews are sourced from our partner HostelBookers.
