The location is near to Kyoto station along with the room is really clean and comfortable even though this ryokan is a bit expensive.

A great place to stay all round. I would definitely stay here again.
Customer Review on 1 December 2009
The hostel had a exceptional location: inside the center but from the loud traffic etc. The area itself had an old spirit of Japan. The spot exactly where we stayed was quite old too, however the staff made daily cleaning and it was okay. BTW the staff was very friendly and spoke very exceptional English, what was a plus, due to the fact it&'s quite a problem with English there. The room had a small stove, pans, dishes, cups, a kettle what was a huge plus. So I could make my breakfast. It was a bit cold though to sleep on the floor in late autumn, though it was probable to arrange a lot more mats. Anyway, it&'s a sort of a budget spot for young people and couples who come to see the city and do not stay inside the whole day. It was simple and had everything for simple needs.

Our room was huge compare to the others in the same hotel but there is a serious problem of cleanless, even in the common parts.
