Oliver was a really fantastic guy and had plenty of advice on not just Kyoto or Japan but worldwide as he has travellled a lot. I was there during Gion Matsuri and he was run of his feet but the spot seemed nice and was fantastic for the price.

The owner is sweet and helpful. The common region is large and comfortable. Location is quite great (bus stops, shops, restaurants) and bikes are offered for hire.
