A really nice and sweet place. The owner was so warm and friendly - he tries to keep the costs low in every way. The location is really worth for the money. No cost hot drinks are available all of the time and inside the morning you can have a free small breakfast. Also the internet is free to use. I would really recommend this location in case you don&'t have so high standards. By buses you get easily everywhere in Kyoto.

It&'s a conventional Japanese place, nice to stay and calm. In case you buy the bus day pass it&'s straightforward to get around Kyoto.

Stuff was really helpfull and even more than helpfull they were really kind. You can call manager any time and he easily solve any problem you have. You are really welcome in kanouya) You can rent a bike for 100 yen/ day. It is just like free! Just before choosing kanouya i have read a lot of comments and some individuals say that it is too far from Kyoto station. I think that it is not important because if you will look at the map of Kyoto you will locate out that Kinouya sets inside the the middle of Kyoto. Obviously it is the highest location! So i dont see any drawbacks.

Hostel manager was really nice. Double room was big. Is well located to tons of main bus lines with fast access to anywhere around the city. We never used the metro as the city busses went far much more places and were superb value if you bought the 500 yen day pass. Wifi was really quick.
