Was extremely impressed with this property. It is budget for Kyoto, with a semi traditional feel. It is a small room, futon on mats. But includes everything you could need. With knowledgable, English speaking staff. It was far more than we were expecting for budget accommodation. It&'s simple, safe, in very good walking distance from Kyoto station. Would stay there again. Thank you.

My favorite hostel in Japan. Verry warm and friendly staff who spoke very good english, the location suited the style perfectly, there was a japanese style bath around the corner, along with the look of the entire building was just amazing, it felt really japanese. Also, the japanese breakfast was really really good.

Really clean an special hostel. Loved the traditional Japanese really feel as properly as the mats were extremely comfortable. The showers/bathrooms were clean as properly as the employees was extremely friendly/helpful. We only stayed one night so didn&'t have the chance to have a look at everything they offered, but would definitely suggest this hostel to others.

All the employees speaks English, makes real efforts to help you as much as possible, and is really nice. This place is like a backpapers hostel, but is also extremely beautiful with Japanese-style rooms (tatamis and yukatas). And all you need is available : laundry, kitchen, bikes, map of Kyoto. Really nice place to stay !
