Lo unico positivo es que van a recogerte a la estacion si avisas, tambien nos llevaron a la vuelta, pero la cara del dueno era todo un poema.

Proximity to the airport was good. Staff were friendly and helpful, futon was comfortable and the room was nice. (room with a small ensuite bath and view of the garden

Cheap, which I wanted. It's old, therefore it's simple. you get what you pay for, so OK. One stop from Narita so arriving in Japan late, it's a convenient stopover to Tokyo city. Good breakfast (if you choose the Japanese style). Thanks

Ohgiya Ryokan is a beautiful way to introduce yourself to Japanese culture. Easy to find in handy location in Narita, rooms are large and futons are comfy.

They picked us up/dropped us off at the train station. They helped us with train times. Everyone was helpful and the location was excellent. We'd stay again.

I read a review where the person said it made them think that back in its prime it would have been a grande place. still the service is charming! From the dear elderly man who promptly fetches your slippers and then waits for you quietly, with his warm smile, to collect your shoes for you to the cheerful receptionist eager to help you with anything. Old fashioed Japanese etiquette at its finest! If youre a highly private person though, I would book the room with the shower. or you will find yourself showering Japanese style in a public bath with others of your gender. although its not as embarrassing as it sounds as everyone else is very descreet too. Its well worth visiting the Ohgiya Ryokan. and Narita for that matter as its a gorgeous town!

Unique spacious Japanese style rooms with own toilet in room. Fridge, sink, TV and phone also in room. Hot thermos of water with green tea provided daily in room. Proximity to train stations (walking distance) and location to all sightseeing spots also within walking distance. Ryokan offers to pick you up from train station and return you there after your stay. Free internet station for use in lobby. Very friendly staff and helpful.
