We had an totally amazing stay at Lodge Nagano, so much so that we extended our stay by an extra two nights! Nozawa Onsen is a charming village and is perfect for a ski holiday. The ramen and onsens are a must! We had a excellent time skiing and the slopes were able to cater well to the needs of each a beginner and an experienced skiier. The hostel was clean, comfortable, and reasonably priced. The staff were extremely warm and friendly and accommodating and not only organised our days skiiing (including ski hire, lift passes and a ride to and from the slopes) but also helped us arrange transport and suggested sightseeing activities for the rest of our trip. Mark and Luke were especially helpful, and our ski instructor Gabe was fantastic.
