Rooms are private and secure. The long term tenants were warm and friendly and most helpful. Walking distance to nice area of city. Guitar was accessible for playing. Umbrellas for rainy weather. Some basic gym equipment was convenient. The owner, Kazu, was extremely accommodating considering my late check-in.

This is a lot more like a student home then a hostel. It has long term lodgers both japanese and ex pats also as travellors which makes for a different atmosphere. The owners are extremely sweet and pretty strict so no student parties. The communal area is large and properly equiped but the rooms are tiny and carved up out of plywood sheets - you know everything your neighbour is doing. Most do not have windows.

Good value for money, warm and friendly staff, not really anything bad to say about place.

The location is great. 15 min walk to one of the largest train stations with access to the Kansai area. The staff is superfriendly and helps you to get sorted out with everything. In this hostel, some people stay very long (6 months+) which gives you an opportunity to meet &"Japan experts&" and ask the crazy culture inquiries that you couldn&'t have asked, or get a crash course in japanese phrases. It&'s definetly a great asset to the accomodation. Also you get to borrow nice slippers for walking indoors.

The owners Kazu & his wife are really warm and friendly and helpful. Kazu allowed me to check in EARLY at 10AM! The rooms are cheapest obtainable in a nice area. It was fairly near to Yodobashi Camera and Osaka Station. The people who are there long term are really very friendly. We were able to meet folks from all over the world & they are really talkative.

This was the cheapest hostel and finest value for money I found in the whole of Japan. My girlfriend and I have travelled round Japan for 7 months and havent found a much better location to stay yet. It was low-cost but clean and also the employees are amazingly helpful. When my computer broke the owner even got his friend to fix it! The rooms are simple but have everything you need. Plus the cooking area is fantastic and also the common room is huge and has cable and films to watch. The employees will help you with any inquiries you have about the Kansai area. Most places in Japan have late check in times in between 2pm and 4pm but here is anytime. There is certainly free web inside your room or upstairs. Bicycle hire is only 100 yen for the day! The location is about 10 mins from the umeda station area. I highly reccomend this place for budget travellers.
