Location. what i didnt like was the shower facilities were on the ground floort and we were on the top floor

This is very nice backpackers place. The atmosphere is friendly and clean. The kitchen has all supplies needed. The rooms are proper and each bed has its own light and curtain (though the curtain was not very stable). The beds are solid and quite large. The staff is helpful. It is very near to the station and easy to find. Recommendable for anyone who is looking for a hostel in Takayama.

In particular I loved the guy who plays the guitar there. When I was checking in he was playing super mario. Epic. Also the owner helped me get to the local hot springs and locate a decent place to eat and it was great! I only regret not being able to stay longer.
