Aizuya was great. I extremely recommend renting a bike. Biking in Japan is easy and takes roughly the same amount of time as taking the train and at 500yen per day is much cheaper!

The folks at Aizuya Inn were extremely helpful. I also enjoyed all of the eclectically furnished bathrooms, my particular favorite was the Hello Kitty one. And during those humid Tokyo summers, thank heavens for the working air conditioning! The shower didn&'t bother me, it actually takes a fair quantity of effort to use up all of the 5 mins of hot water.

Nice and clean, had many toilets and wash basins, no cost Wireless and web downstairs. The hostel is a 10 minute walk to the station. The area surrounding it is silent and seemed secure at night.

Good instructions made it very easy to find, and close to the convenience store. Not too hard to get to significant train stations. Free use of soap/shampoo, clean facilities. Great value for money.
