Nice little private tatami room for a very good price! The neighborhood was a little bit seedy but secure and quiet. The lounge isn&'t much of a spot to socialize but it&'s calm and comfortable. All of the facilities and such work like they should, and were clean and nicely maintained. People on here complain about the 100 yen showers, but the timer stops when you shut the water off and I managed to get clean and shave with a single coin! All in all, Aizuya was a fantastic spot to first land in Tokyo, and I&'d definitely go back there to stay again!

Totally recommended! Foreigner friendly accomodation for budget travelers and backpackers. The room was clean and comfortable enough. The facilities are good, The toilet as nicely as the shower room are furnished with cool visuals. The staffs are friendly and helpful as well. Not so much sight-seeing spot around but it&'s situated in a ood area with lots of convenience stores around. Overall, It was a homey location and I will definitely come back to this inn.

Staff were very warm and friendly and helpful. The setting is great. We had a Japanese private twin room, which was very comfortable, large and clean. The facilities provided are good, although we did not use the kitchen. The paying shower is somehow annoying but clean. I would stay again.

This hostel has an excellent common room and has a lot of services and services to offer, but they all require an extre fee or a deposit. 1 dollar for 5 mins inside the shower, and there is a midnight curfew but you can take out an after-hours key for a deposit. Our room was nice.

Staff were really warm and friendly and helpful, eg they gave us a crash course in navigating the numerous subway and train services across Tokyo (a myriad of different providers and not always operating the same way. Also maps are often showing either subway or train lines, which can lead to unnecessary detours if unaware)

If I come to Tokyo again, I will definitely stay here again. The setting was great for us: clean andquiet, with a japanese touch. The rooms were with tatami and futons, which we liked. The decoration was elegant, smart and extremely japanese. It included an option for breakfast or bento (japanese lunchbox), extremely unexpensive. There were enough bath rooms and showers, they were really clean, and also the showers had a system that encouraged showering fast. The WCs on the ground floor had special choices that included a water spray to clean yourself; extremely clean and comfortable. The nearest metro station is a extremely handy line. There is also a JR station nearby, and a couple of supermarkets. The employees was extremely nice and approachable. It was probable to pay with credit card (unusual in Japanese hostels), although with a 5%fee.
