Even tho it was a small place, its extremely cosy. It got allot of character to it. For people who like to encounter Japan for its essence this is a extremely very good hostel to stay at.

I really like this hostel! the cleanest hostel i&'ve ever seen in my life. amazing bath and shower! the property owner is very nice and she speaks good english. the location is ok, few minutes from ueno station, very effortless to find! if u desire to socialize and meet traveller from all around the workd this is the location to be!

Extremely warm and friendly and helpful staff; really warm and welcoming. No cost wireless is excellent too considering Tokyo&'s distinct lack of wireless facilities.

Miekko and employees son are exceptional and friendly, so respectful that you will ask about every thing with out hesitate. i like JGH simply because that is so inexpensive and safe that you will prefer to stay there even in next tripe to tokyo. JGH is first choice for every body that have not enough money but like to test Tokyo as expensive city in the world.

The only decent thing aboutthe property maybe is accomodating for inexpensive backpackers inside the dorm rooms. Hence typically speaking, the individuals staying at the backpacker location are great value. The employees who do all the hard work and clean are fantastic. * that does not include the owner, Meiko *

Mieko the property owner is fantastic, friendly and really helpful. I had my money and cards stolen in New Zealand and she was really really helpful passing emails and messages to and from my family and chasing up a parcel sent to me from England it took ages to arrive. Her English is fantastic. This property has real character as properly as the other travellers here bond really properly as the atmosphere is really inter-continental. Fully first class!
