It's really only 10 minutes walk to the Old Town or center of Riga. Really low price price.

Very cheap for the location just 300 meters from old Riga center. Great matresses, pretty quite, behind the city market place but very secure as it is in front of police station (generally Riga is very safe). The con point: the only 2 toillets open directly to the common room which is kind of awkward and uneasy. Generally their installations are kind of primitive. There are only 2 showers so if they are busy you may have to wait in line. But very kind english speaking staff. But in case you are in a tight budget it is a great choice specially as you can buy all sorts of enjoyable food inside the market.

I liked the helpfulness of the reception staff, I liked the hostel hairdressing services which was a bargain, the room was clean and somewhat comfortable, nice large sized rooms. The cost was cheap, and I also liked the location of the Hostel right inside the middle of the market. On the whole this was a great stay at this Hostel in Riga. Would return to this Hostel. But Posh in design it is not

Great location right close to the Russian market, within a couple of hundred metres from the bus station and not much further to the Old Town. Staff warm and friendly and helpful, the rooms are basic, clean and really cheap. No cost internet, use of the fridge and microwave. Exactly what you want from a budget, no frills hostel.
