Borneo BackpackersAccommodation Type : Hostel Centrally situated clean and friendly. "Numerous of our backpacker buddies ended up within the wrong backpacker lodges on arrival as some lodges have almost similar name. For your info, our Borneo Backpackers lodge is located at Australias Spot inside the heart of Kota Kinabalu, close to a cafe called Kopitiam. There are a lot of backpackers lodges nearby but our 3-storey building is the most notable within the vicinity with it.

Location was great, just a brief walk to most parts of the city. Wi-Fi was really convenient. Really superb value for backpackers.

Great little hostel inside the centre (rear) of town region known as Australia spot as its where the Aussie soldiers set up camp in ww2. Worth having a coffee at the cafe (Borneo 1945) downstairs too. Very good location and staff are extremely friendly.

Good location. No cost web (2 computers in hallway and wireless in room). No cost DIY breakfast. A lot of local info accessible and very friendly staff.

Great place to meet other backpackersmost of the staff didn't speak English particularly well, so it was hard to get assistance booking the activities they offered, and getting advice about buses etc
