The staff here are all very friendly, flexible and helpful! Then hostel is very centrally located! It is a very peaceful environment and has everything you need. We stayed in a room which sleeps 4 for the 3 of us and then moved into a 4 bed dorm as it was less expensive but nonetheless had own bathroom. We will be returning for a few days and would definitely recommend this place. A great local restaurant directly opposite, does great sweet and sour chicken and sliced roast pork!

Great extras i. e. no cost filtered water, unlimited breakfast (toast with spreads and coffee). Extremely safe and safe - constant monitoring of computers

Not a lot to be honest. The place could have been so much better by just changing a few little things. Breakfast is one example. Every morning there was only 1 knife for the whole hostel to share (yes that's right 1 knife! ), one morning there was only 4 slices of bread to share between 3 people. So just having better supplies would have made such a difference to our stay. The room we stayed in was more than adequate but we did find much better value elsewhere in the area.

Borneo Gaya Lodge has a huge TV. And, we can watch DVD there. It is the really best thing there. All of the stuff are friendly and kind!

Good location (KK is a small city so everything is walking distance) and exceptional baked buns shop 3 doors down. Double bed comfortable. Air-conditioning dripped consistently and toilets/showers were a tad claustrophobic. Supplied breakfast white toast and jam. No cost drinking water. Small hostel.
