Summer Lodge really is for the budget traveller. For the price on offer of rooms you cant go wrong. The hostel is noisy and situated nar bars and clubs. However the location of the hostel is also really good, near to shopping centres, restaurants, marketplaces and bars etc. The staff however were fantastic. Free net and breakfast.

The property is situated inside the middle of the city. You have access to all that you need: a bank is right across the street, restaurants surround the location, a pharmacy is nearby, even the pier is a 10-minute walk away. The place is clean. The employees are so accommodating. Warm water for showering is available. There are computers with net access.

The staff were warm and friendly and also the hostel is within the middle of the principal backpackers area. I booked a double en-suite room, but sad to say the toilet wasn&'t working and they didn&'t fix it despite being informed about the problem. Other than that, the common room is great with no cost web and only 5-10 mins walk from the jetty. Would suggest for short stays.

Central place, however, windows didnt close and Karaoke was going on downstairs each and every night (loud). Employees is warm and friendly but only useful for the basics (checking in/out, buying things) found nobody who could give some good suggestions regarding tours, points to see in KK, etc.

It was right in the centre of everything! Very good value for money and helpful staff.
