A superb characterful place 50 metres from the sea. A lot more a boutique hotel, with the best breakfasts I have seen. Full Cooked, and or bread croissants, fresh fruit (strwberries when we were there), yoghurts puddings etc superb. On street parking or parking in nearby free car park. Bus stop 50 metres away. A amazing place to stay.

Beautifully presented in traditional Gozitan style. Despite it being situated in a somewhat busy area I found it a pretty hideaway and, being a lone female traveller, felt entirely at ease to appreciate the surroundings on the ground floor. My room was superbly kept as properly as the shower could not have been better!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for four nights and completely loved it. The family is wonderful, the service personalised, the guesthouse spotlessly clean and really charming. Went out of their way to help us - including early breakfasts when we needed them. Wonderfully indulgent breakfasts! Gozo itself was a gem to explore.

If you are searching for a warm location in Gozo, then Maria Giovanna is a must! It is a pleasure to see a family business run so well as it merges service quality and authenticity. The breakfast is remarkable and also the dinner is a fantastic experience of traditional Maltese cuisine. Transport from the ferry on arrival is included. It is fairly more expensive than other hostels in Gozo but the difference worth it.
