Tribu hostel

I&ve lost track of the quantity of times I&ve been asked/begged to leave a review of my stay, but never did. After 8 years, I&'ve finally made an account on this site. Tribu was a planned hostel - built from the ground up by the couple that nonetheless own and operate it - and it&'s one of the greatest (if not the best) hostel I&ve ever stayed at. It is extremely well-designed, and has managed to provide everything a hostel should provide - great, friendly staff, with owners who are personally invested in ensuring that those that stay with them have an pleasing encounter on a day-to-day basis. There are enjoyable activities each and every night, parties - planned or impromptu - a bar 6 nights out of 7, fully-equipped kitchen, many spaces to relax and meet people, projector cinema, a liberal alcohol policy, rooms that are clean and safe - with fans, and lockers inside the dorms - and all in a treehouse kind of design that keeps the noise from being excessive during the night, even when individuals are nonetheless up and enjoying themselves. It is a 1 minute walk to the beach, 2 minute walk to the centro, and a bike ride from anywhere on the island - which has a developing commercial centre, nightlife, and a multitude of aquatic sports and activities available. This is the island along with the hostel where you will meet interesting people, have an authentic experience, appreciate each and every day (even when you didn&'t do anything but read, eat and sleep), and it&'s the location you&'ll remember long right after your trip is over.

This hostel ranks as perhaps my favorite hostel expertise I have had in six years of traveling. It was a perfect mix of value, location, cleanliness, fun, and an awesome employees that&'s always willing to help. The location was a stones throw away from the beach and a effortless 8 minute walk from the ferry. The hostel is painted in bright colours and has a Swiss Household Robinson build. like living in a series of connecting treehouses. The rooms and bathrooms were spotless and the kitchen large and modern. There was adequate wifi range and the hostel bar was a enjoyable location to meet people. There was a activity each night and the employees was always offered to answer my numerous questions with a smile and fantastic choices on where to eat and play. They even helped me plan a two day excursion to Valladolid so I could pay a visit to Chichen Itza even though it meant canceling my last two nights with them. Which is outstanding service and I will definitely be back next year and plan on recommending this location each chance I get. Thanks Tribu for an outstanding experience. see you next year!

The environment and character were one of the greatest and most friendly I have ever come across in hostels, if not the best. The owners Davide and Mia were extremely nice as were all of the employees in Tribu! Everything was almost best except for the weather but despite that we managed to organize all kinds of fun! The location is the right mixture of laid back but still well taken care of!

Sehr sch&ones Hostel, leider war nichts los als wir dort waren. Daher waren die Bar und das Kino nicht in Betrieb. Private Zimmer sind ger&aumig mit Bad und Balkon. Sch&one grosse Kueche und Essbereich im Freien. Dachterrasse mit Haengematten und Grillbereich sind toll.

Staff really helpful, friendly and honest. Hostel is pretty and colourful with lots of art furnished everywhere. Clean room with double bed and fan with bathroom and hot shower. Also had a balcony. Good kitchen facilities to cook for yourself and filtered water that you can help yourself to. Nice location to eat and meet individuals and superb location from the beach!

The owners have thought of everything and their personality shines through in their hostel which is colourful, bright and an excellent location to meet people. Dorms are great, cooking area is one of the finest we've seen in a hostel. We were unlucky to be there during a couple of days of torrential rain but we were well entertained in the dedicated film room with projector screen, surround-sound and really comfy cushions. Bar is great, and far enough from rooms to not cause a problem with noise. Quiz night is fun!

The owners have thought of everything and their personality shines through in their hostel which is colourful, bright and an awesome location to meet people. Dorms are great, kitchen is one of the most effective we&'ve seen in a hostel. We were unlucky to be there during a couple of days of torrential rain but we were well entertained within the dedicated film room with projector screen, surround-sound and extremely cozy cushions. Bar is great, and far enough from rooms to not cause a problem with noise. Quiz night is fun!

Great location to stay! Near to the beach, nice bar, clean rooms and baths, has a character! In my Top3 hostels ever!
