I booked 2 nights at Dar Skala based on the reviews on this hostel, and was delighted by my stay! Jorge the property owner was fantastic and suggested an amazing Moroccan restaurant nearby and was accessible for any inquiries or advice that I was looking for. The guesthouse itself is bright and cheery, and charming, and perfectly located in the medina. The rooftop overlooking the sea is an awesome spot for breakfast or to enjoy a calm afternoon. I unfortunately only had two days in Essaouira and at Dar Skala but could have possibly stayed a week longer!

Very warm and friendly employees in a peaceful house - ideal spot to escape from it all in a noiseless area of the city with the great view over the city from the bedroom. You can ask Aisha who works there to create you an superb tagine for a low-cost price as well as the roof rooftop has fantastic views of the sea!

A quaint and rustic guesthouse with an amazing terrace with views of the sea and the famous north bastion cannons. Good facilities and location to the main medina.
