This was an AMAZING Riad! You would be crazy to stay anywhere else in Fez! Beautiful atmosphere, the rooms are clean, the beds extremely comfortable. But the most special thing about this Riad is Youssef, who looks following you for your stay. He will arrange tours, and take you around the city, and uncover you scrumptious places to eat. It&'s quite impossible to navigate Fez by yourself, especially in case you don&'t speak Arabic. All the signs are in Arabic (and not all streets are signposted). There are at least 9000 streets inside the medina, and there is certainly no way you can figure out where you&'re going if you&'re not a local! We were two girls travelling together, so all help was much appreciated. (Fez is different to Marrakech, where it&'s probable to navigate by yourself). The breakfast at the Riad Verus is delicious, and you may also buy dinner and lunch there if you&'re not up to going out again. The Riad also organises activities like day trips, henna, visits to the baths, cooking classes- you won&'t be short of things to do! Free wifi, television inside the rooms. I really can not emphasise enough how much this Riad made our stay in Fez unforgettable! Book it now!

All its staff are really warm and friendly and helpful. They gave us a greater room at no additional cost and one that faces onto the conventional courtyard. The breakfast was really excellent and served until late which gives you a excellent lie in. The hotel is located within the old medina within a brief walk from all important sightseeing mounments and shopping alleys. The roof terrace gives onto a magnificent view on the medina and they have hookah pipes available.

Good location -very close to the Medina. Excellent Xmas eve meal and friendly environment made it straightforward to meet other travellers and feel at home. The shower for the mixed dorm, was excellent! Really hot and powerful! Breakfast was excellent and never ending!

Came here right after Christmas and there was a lovely Christmasey feel to the hotel. Lots of festive decorations, an enormous tree and presents for all of the guests. It was a sweet gesture we were not expecting at all.

The primary points which stood out for me were the handy location. It was possible for the taxi cab that brought me from the bus station to come inside 30 yards of the front door. Also the price/ value ratio was spot on. A great tip is to go for Room 2, shared the room with 2 other girls of a similar age and it was nice to have the companionship.

- Staff were endlessly helpful, courteous and warm and friendly - especially Yussef along with the doorman (sorry forgotten the name). Walked us to our car, to ATM&'s, to eating places and back when we first arrived (and were disoriented) - Good atmosphere - Comfortable beds - Really hot showers :) - There was a double booking on our room however the staff dealt with this nicely and to our satisfaction (free tour, taking us to our new room for one of the 2 nights, providing to take the bags, calling round to check on us and to show us around) - No cost Xmas cous cous dinner - Xmas tree and presents! - Fantastic roof terrace and views

As Lonely Planet quotes. &"rooms here seem to be configured to give max flexibility for the extremely best budget, everything is open and airy. &" well this is so true, exactly where else can you stay in a Riad with dorm rooms so you do nt pay a fortune to stay someone opulent! There is certainly a option for each type of tourist, traveller or honeymooner! Good quality service and respectful staff and top location. The Riad has an incredible roof rooftop with incredible Medina sights as well as the patio is a huge expanse of openness and first class architecture.

Delightful in all aspects, the Riad blew my mind when entering the large wooden doors into a stunning courtyard with a fountain and conventional decor, Moroccan style nicely maintained and exciting restauration design. As a designer I was extremely impressed. The breakfasts were a outstanding begin to the day and it was nice to come back within the afternoon to mint tea served whereever you liked and free! The terrace has outstanding views over the Old city and it was nice to chill with other travellers and share stories. Enjoyable and a lot to do staying here.
