This Hostel was definitely a huge part of what made our trip to Marrakech incredible! The atmosphere is absolutely charming, the spot is a redesigned house, the interior design seems to bring the cultural essence of the city inside, it fits perfectly for a hostel where you can meet other individuals in a comfortable environment. The staff is overqualified, super super nice (I don&'t think I have experienced better service) they really do care about the individuals who stay at their place, the owners greet you upon arrival and tell you all you need to know, and are really open and warm and friendly and give honest advice about anything you would want to know! You can tell the hostal is not a business but a proyect, and also the spot makes you feel really secure in a city where everything is soo different! The staff is super friendly, they do everything they can to create your stay much more comfortable, and honestly this kind of hospitality is not effortless to come across with. Plus, the on the house mint tea is the really best I tried in the whole of Morroco (and I did try in numerous many different places) and also the breakfast is outstanding - typical, delicious, and cooked daily for each individual guest. I will definitely come back to this place, worth way much more than what you pay for (and the cost is a huuuge plus also). Very İdeally situated near the primary plaza, yet not as visible as to become an effortless target for merchants. I highly suggest it to anyone looking for an authentic Morrocan experience! Mama Marrakech is THE way to go :D

The staff, they make it happen. They will organize whatever trip you want and make you as comfortable as at home. No is definitely not an answer for them. Other than being so warm and friendly they are really open-minded to have a conversation on whatever you want. The facilities are really descent, 3 totally functional washrooms (a fourth one is on its way. ) with hot water all day long. The rooftop patio is a must! Sunny most of the day, full of sofas and comfortable places to sit. Excellent to get a tan or to have a beer (or tea) around a fire with friends. The free tea is another must, available all day long, where ever you are within the riad. The breakfast contains far more than just bread! It&'s delicious. Reggae will pretty much often be playing (except at night, obviously) creating a extremely calm and cool atmosphere. But if you want you can just plug inside your music and enjoy it like you would enjoy it half a world away. ** They now have a guitar that you can borrow if you want to jam** In conclusion, its an awesome hostel, I wouldnt right so long about it if I dint like it that much.

We simply loved Hostel Riad Mama Marrakech. We felt secure and welcome, so it really is a house away from home. Staff is friendly and helpful, so you don&'t need to worry and just enjoy your trip. We left each morning with our tummies full of yummy breakfast and we came inside the evening with a smile on our faces!

Really amazing atmosphere, the lounge region always seemed to have other travellers to chat or play cards with along with the owners and staff were incredibly warm and friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and they were able to provide helpful tips about marrakech. The no cost mint tea was always lovely to come back to. Would definitely stay here again!

The ambience and friendliness of the employees are great! The location is minutes away from Djema&'a el Fna, which is also great.

I spent 9 days @ this Riad as a solo traveller and it was far better than I imagined. This Is a newly opened Riad and has only been open for 4 months. The hostel is a two storey Riad situated in a safe residential location within walking distance to the medina. It has rooms on the ground floor and first floor and an open sun terrace on the second floor. The staff are genuinely lovely, caring and specialized inside the upkeep of the Riad and travellers. The very good news is that they have a workable understanding of both English and French and will never give up till they have understood your request. This team have outstanding exemplary customer service. From your first night till your last night your made to really feel welcome and that they are here to serve you. The Riad is kept spotlessly clean by a dedicated team and cleaner who just loves to clean. There is an large quantity of clean towels and these are changed each and every day and randomly throughout the day including the hand towels inside the toilets. The toilets are cleaned regularly throughout the day and toiletries such as soaps and toilet rolls replenished randomly throughout the day each and every day. I have stayed in a few hostels in my time but this hostel has a really high cleanliness standard akin to a hotel. There is a bathroom and toilet on each and every floor including on the sun terrace. I stayed in a six bedded room and went out with my room mates to explore the Medina which is conveniently at the end of the road from the Riad. I met fantastic travellers and I am meeting some in London soon. The beds were made each and every day along with the rooms were thoroughly cleaned. I observed the cleaner remove all the beds and beddings and scrub the room floors. The rooms were also sprayed each day with air fresher. There are a few international magazines obtainable for reading which are noticed are left by travellers inside the rooms at the same time as the lounge. When I say the staff are caring, I really mean it. It gets cold inside the night around this time of year and one night I was in bed and a staff member came and covered me with an extra warm blanket. Another night I returned to my room and a heater had been placed there to warm my room up. Its these sweet points that the staff do that make your face smile and make you really feel special. On the sun terrace there are a few washing lines and there are buckets obtainable to use to wash your clothes and spread them on the sun terrace. There is also a tap on the sun terrace so you can wash your clothes up on it. There are a lot of sofas and conventional sofas on the sun terrace for sun bathing and I made use of these each and every day to bask inside the sunshine. There is also a shaded location on the sun terrace where you can practice Yoga even without a mat. There is a floor covering there that I was able to use to practice Yoga with a fellow roommate. I also borrowed a Yoga mat from the proprietress. There are two baby tortoises that live on the sun terrace and I loved to play with them whilst basking inside the sun. There is also a chess board on the sun terrace freely obtainable for use. If you like art then you will really like this Riad and appreciate the art work. There are cut out butterly designs on the sun terrace stuck to the shade poles, there is certainly also a painting on the wall. When the sun shines as you bask in it you appreciate it all, the mixture of the sunshine, tortoises playing, art work, the cool thatched location and tranquillity. Breakfast is served in between 7. 30am -10am but there is certainly some flexibility and arrangements can be made to have it served at an earlier or later time; it consists of two crepes served with jam, butter and an omelette and unlimited tea and coffee. The proprietress informed me that breakfast was inside the process of being diversified and improved. The very good thing is that this Riad is new and so is a work in progress and suggestions and feedback negative or positive are listened to by the proprietress. I was told that shortly gift packs of tea and spices will be obtainable for purchase as there had been quite a few compliments and enquiries on their delicious mint tea. As I left the Riad, I was sad to go and was given a hug from the proprietress. I just know that Ill be back soon :)
