Friendly, efficient, clean room. Pretty garden. Near to Thamel area. Filtered water, no cost internet, Exceptional food.

Wow, what can we say Right after completing a month long tour in China and staying in crummy lodging the Ganesh Himal was a breath of fresh air. Hostel does not do it justice, it is far more a hotel with remarkable rooms, employees and facilities including a beautiful garden and roof terrace AND room service. We can not fault them in anyway, remarkable value for money, we'd stay here again and not hesitate in recommending it. Oh and it's less than 5 mins from the town centre!

I found this place to be warm and inviting with helpful, warm and friendly accomodating staff. Net was free and quite reliable, unlike the $100/night Hotel Himalya that I stayed at the previus week that, like many hotels in Kathmandu, charged an additional $10/day for internet, that turned out to be really slow and kept bumping me off! The cafe was small, but had a very good selection of food on the menu. Somewhat removed from Thamal, I found it really quiet. Nice garden area.

A extremely nice hotel inside the middle of Kathmandu. The staff is extremely friendly and helpfull. They serve good food and you can sit inside the garden and eat your food.
