Nice hotel away from the noise of the Thamel, and with nice sized rooms & bathroom. Great hot showers!! May not be the best place to meet people as it is more hotel-like, but you'll still have a great, peaceful stay. We would recommend. |

The cleaness of the facilities is just OK. But the staffs were not honesty and please do not book any trips from their travel desk. We arrived KTM very late, the staffs told us that we had to book the rafting trip as there would be a strike on the next day and all the other travel agencies would be closed. He gave us unreasonable price of $40 for half day rafting, but there're no strike on the next day and all other agencies gave no more than $25 for the same trip. Be careful their price dose not include the tax and service charge and they would not tell you until you check out. We stayed in this hostel for 2 days, all their computer were out of order, so actually we cannot access internet as they described. |

The rooms were clean and were good value for money. They have a beautiful garden area that you can sit and enjoy a bit of quiet. |

I didn't actually like this property at all!! We had many problems with them. First of all it is $8. 50 per person per night which, although cheap, is unnecessarily expensive for KTM. We're now staying at Pema's guesthouse which is the same, but with a nicer garden in a better part of town (Boudha) for $1. 75/person/night! We picked this place purely because they offer a free airport pickup and we were getting in at midnight and didn't want to deal with a taxi. We emailed all of our details, got there, and no taxi. We took a taxi, got to the hostel, and the hostel claimed they hadn't received our flight details (the boss just neglected to write them down in the book. ). not only did they try to make us pay for the taxi (we refused), but because they 'didn't know what time we were coming' (we had said 1am on hostelbookers) they had given our room away! they sent us down the street to Hotel Lai Lai which was also terrible. The toilet leaked all over the seat so it was always wet, the shower head fell on my friend's head, almost knocking her out, and they had the hardest pillows ever. Please don't stay at this hostel!! Boudha is much quieter and way cheaper. Enjoy KTM! |

We had a fantastic stay at the Ganesh Himal. We went back for a second stay after a visit to the Chitwan. The rooms are very clean and very good value for money. The staff are friendly and helpful and there is also free internet access and water, and they also picked us up from the airport free of charge. The only slight downside is that you aren't right in Thamel but it is only a 5 minute walk away. I would definitely recommend this hotel to other travellers. |

Relatively calm and quiet for Kathmandu definately the most comfortable beds I could find in Kathmandu and generally nice place to base activities from. Possibly a bit too keen to sell you one of their own tours and watch out for people helping you to your complementary taxi as they seem to want money for the 30 second chat you have with them. Good value for money with the choice of deluxe or standard. |
