The location has character as it was once a former brothel and all the rooms have different dutch themes. The staff are really warm and friendly and there is certainly also a cat to create you really feel at house (not so good if you are allergic). The beds were extremely cozy complete with feather down duvets. I would definitely recommend this hostel.

Awesome hostel! Really nice, comfy beds, solid bunks that don&'t sway side to side when you climb into them. Really cool building, super nice common location and backyard space, amazingly well stocked kitchen with 8 burners so you don&'t have to fight anyone to cook dinner! Fantastic and lovely location in a real Amsterdam neighborhood, away from the touristy center but nonetheless close enough to walk. Loved it!

The hospitality and atmosphere. Joop, Solveiga and Vienna were extremely accommodating to my needs. Love the coffeeshop stuff outside rule. Wished I stayed in Cocomama on my first trip to Amsterdam.

Great character - ex brothel and our room (the royal) had a round bed! Really clean room and shared spaces. Warm and friendly staff and pretty hostel cat :) Great facilities - space to store food in kitchen and cook if wished. Would definitely stay here again.

It was nice to stay somewhere that is not in the middle of the &'amsterdam&' scene. the staff were really helpful and friendly. the common facilities were great.

This hostel is really human-sized, as properly as the atmosphere here is great (people, staff, music. cat ^^). The bed are cozy as properly as the curtains give some privacy to everyone. Tram station 50m away (10 min from city center), supermarket 200m away, it&'s not inside the really middle but absolutely nothing is really faraway from you as properly as the rooms stay quiet during the night. Official check-in is at 4pm, but the staff won&'t let you out in case you arrive earlier! Would definitely come back here again.

The cooking area and common area are great, nice and large with all facilities and a fantastic spot to kick back on inside the lounge area. Free internet. Ensuite bathrooms

Amazing staff, really very good guest profile, no smoking, great location (far enough from the cente to not feel touristy, but only a 15 minute walk away), JOOP! They even went out of their way to include vegetarian selections in the (traditional Dutch) Christmas meal so that I and some other veggies could join!
