Onuku farm hostel is the best hostel i've stayed in so far. The location is just amazing. The accomadations make you feel like home. a real cozy common rom with a fire log and kitchens like you have them at home. A definate MUST if you come near akaroa.

People where extremely friendly! Mixed individuals (older and young)! Really great hiking routes! Nice and quiet! Rooms are extremely clean and nice decorated, three kitchens, nice showers, Volleyball, pick up service and fantastic homeslippers:-) In case you need to relax and enjoy the landscape, that is certainly the excellent place!
