Nice comfy lodging and lounge area with open fire. Has all the facilities you need for hostel accommodation. Near the town centre so no need to drive anywhere. Would definitely stay there again.

Very friendly and helpful owner who is knowledgeable both about Hanmer region and other places in NZ. Homely, cosy hostel and extremely clean, well-equipped spotless kitchen. No cost fruit and ice cream, as nicely as the usual hot drinks and herbs/ spices. Friendly resident cat.
