Lovely huge lounge and cooking area areas, bunk rooms had a lot of space for personal belongings and shower and toilet facilities were very good. Warm and friendly staff were happy to help and give directions/make bookings as nicely as the location is great. Short walk into the township, and right next to the pick-up/drop-off point for cave tours.

The employees here were amazing. I stupidly lef tmy kindle and they kindly posted it back to England for me and communicated every stage of the process. I was blown away with their integrity. Hostel in beautiful surroundings.

Really warm and friendly staff and extremely clean hostel. Massive area to watch TV along with the WiFi is fast. Quite nice that this hostel is only a 5 min walk to the company that runs the cavingtours.

This is a fantastic hostel, with a pretty cosy feel, In a stunning part of the country. Excellent location for the waitomo caves along with the waitomo pathway and ruakuri scenic reserve (highly recommended). The dorm room was spacious with comfy beds and all of the public areas exactly where clean, tidy. Superb facilities: swimming pool, fantastic garden region with hammock, freeview tv, DVDs, trampoline and we got to feed the pig! The 2 girls working there were often happy to help with everything, informative and very friendly, thanks for an awesome stay and keep up the hard work!

It was a great 2 minutes drive to Waitomo caves from YHA. Keys were all organised and ready for us even when there is no one at the reception area. Silent environment and backpackers were very useful and friendly
