Very friendly staff and also the bus we booked at reception was even less expensive than the bus company offered on their website. Very properly maintained property. The walk up the hill is not as bad as the other reviews make it out to be! Storing luggage during our Inca Trail trip was not a problem. Web worked well.

This hostal is a in a great location (very near to the plaza). That hill (calle suecia) is challenging to walk up the first time! Overall the spot is clean, nice decor, and nice hot showers. The Wi-Fi was one of the greatest in Peru.

The hostel is backpacker place, but without the common crowds and mess. Actually, it is a really calm location to stay. It is not luxurious, but and nice furnished old building. The breakfast, although not included within the daily rate, it is really good for the cost charged. In case you need some information about any sightseeing, the hostel has an in-site tourist agent available to help you. Also, the hostel location is really convenient (just 350m from the principal square, even though it is uphill).
