Marcelo the hostel owner was very helpful with hints on great eating places and activities. The place is situated in a very great area. Less than 10 minute walk to Park Kennedy where a lot of eating places and entertainment is located. Also, only a 15 minute walk to the beach and 10 minute walk to Larcomar (the shopping mall built into the cliff)

It&'s one of the very best hostels we stayed in duribg our worldtrip! Marcello, the property owner offers fantastic service and value for money! He arranged our pick up on the airport, checked us in late at night, had breakfast served the next morning! Did our laundry, helped us with booking our next destinations, had lots and lots of very good suggestions for places to see and visit! However if you&'re looking to party this might be not your place, although all of the bars and so on are a few block away.

I stayed @ the 151 Backpacker Hostel inside the Miraflores district of Lima, Peru from Dec 25 to 27- for only 2 nights. This hostel is centrally located and walking distance to a pre-Inka ruin. There are a lot of eating places inside the location and mins from the ocean. I stayed in a single room with a bunk bed and shower. The room is close to the kitchen but there wasn&'t any noises from people checking in late or using the kitchen. The room has a small TV and fan only but it wasn&'t hot so I didn&'t need to use the fan. The shower was far more than hot enough. There is certainly a small sink inside the room. The hostel is accessed via a door intercom system so it is secured day and night. Barcello, the property owner was there often to answer any questions. He was very helpful and spoke impeccable English. He greeted everyone by name. He prepared easy breakfast for his guests. Barcello also helped reserved taxi cab to anywhere, suggested outstanding local eating places and even made a booking for a cruise that I took. He bent over backward to help us. He even allowed me to pay my rent in soles, knowing that I won&'t come back to Peru any time soon as nicely as the balance in U S dollars. His yellow and white cat sometimes meet guests when she was not sleeping ! I highly suggest this hostel.

Location is great. The crazy cat is cool. Staff are knowledgeable about Lima. Secure and secure. Clean and tidy.

The location; really fast wireless inside the room and much TV channels to choose from. Also the breakfast was nice with good bread fresh from the bakery every single morning.

Great location in Miraflores. Marcello and Claudio are each very useful with lots of recommendations, which makes the stay really easy. Hot water all day. Cuddly cat for some cat cuddles.
