Just a minute from the Plaza de Armas and fantastic value for ensuite rooms. The hostel presents a lot of services, but it&'s not extremely obvious - you have to ask staff for everything explicitly. They clean the rooms daily, which is extremely unusual for Peru. It was extremely empty when I was there (probably due to the bad weather), but there are plenty of fantastic common areas.

The bar region was good, great pool table and hammocks. Checking in at 6am was nice when taking a night bus that got into Puno at 5. The manager gave a free round of drinks.

The 8-bed dorm was wonderful and spacious. On the 2nd night we moved to a 6 bed dorm which was more cramped. But overall this is a great hostel - lots of showers with hot water. Loved that they had a separate female bathroom. Eggs and bread at breakfast. Location itself is good, just maybe 200m from the main square - but major downside that it's a super steep hill all the way!
