We liked the common kitchen, and how the rooms are portion of a small appartment. The employees is very helpfull and polite.

The owner is extremely friendly and nice - so helpful in showing the way in Manila and how approximately peso you have to pay for you not being cheated. it is cheap. A must - pay a visit to the Chinese cemetery just few steps away inside the morning or afternoon (not at night as it can be dangerous) for the bungalow home for the dead. the cooking area is almost complete with the stove and cooking appliance

The staff (mainly May) was extremely helpful with anything we needed. She gave us tips on how to get around the city and was a very kind person in general. We met a lot of fantastic individuals while staying at the hostel as well. The hostel is a little out of the way from key points of interest and nightlife, but it&'s not hard or expensive to get around in the city. I would definitely suggest this hostel to individuals traveling in Manila.

Red Carabao was so friendly! I felt very welcome and safe. The lady who greeted us gave us advice on how to navigate the city/airport with cabs and was extremely helpful. I didn&'t love the location.

Great atmosphere, awesome building, beautiful staff, clean and tidy rooms, air con and bed linen neatly provided, great common areas with huge kitchen dining and lounge. Excellent region for us, less touristy region but a lot more in the middle of every single day life.
