The hostel is situated ca. 20 min by bus from the city centre. The bus stop is 3-4 min away. There are two small food marketplaces nearby and one large, western-style shopping mall with all kinds of shop, bars, restaurants, cafes, cinema - approx. 10 min away on foot, where you can get anything - mostly less costly than in western countries like France, UK, Germany. The stuff were friendly and helped when needed. The significant advantage of the hostel is the price. Typically you get three rooms in a &'flat&' with shared bathroom - a small single, an ok-size single and a larger twin-bedded room with a key for the room and also the primary door to the &'flat&'. In general the rooms are average clean and tidy. If you want to have it additionally hovered or the bedding changed, you just need to ask and it will be done. This also applies to changing rooms. A friend of mine wasn&'t satisfied and he promptly got another room without any inquiries asked. The airport is about 10 min by taxi. Breakfast can be had for additional payment, the snack/drinks machines at the primary entrance were good - mineral water, soft drinks, coffee, hot chocolate, and also the like.

My large room had a tiny balcony with a view. Safety was a plus. Three rooms shared a bath room and common entrance. Translation: Two locked doors between me as nicely as the GP. It is inside the berbs, but the local outdoor marketplace place was tops. Bus service, tram and subway were all handy.

Convenient for access to the airport, clean rooms, helpful staff. The building wins no prizes for atmosphere, facilities or a location central to the city, but as a short stay when you need to get to/from the airport quickly, it does just fine.

The front desk was especially helpful with maps and suggestions. The hostel is being renovated, I think, and it will only get getter with time. It is a Soviet-era cement building, physically unattractive in its concept, so there is certainly little that can be done to make it "charming, " but it is clean, safe and hospitable.
