The owners were so lovely. They did not speak English but were very great at communicating through other means. The woman often made sure everything was clean. The shutters within the room were great. They blocked out noise from the street and made the room dark. The air con was fantastic. The wi fi worked completely within the living region which was right outside the room door. I was so impressed at how exceptional the stay was for such a exceptional price.

Clean, close to the center and really comfortable hotel. During my stay at the reception there was not anyone who speaks English, but you can always establish communication) also nice woman on the second day of my stay spoke French. Along with the other man from the employees speaks Spanish, as I understood) it was pretty fascinating to communicate)) liked it)

The staff were great. The day time staff were especially helpful, really friendly and outgoing. We were speaking with the lady in Spanish (and whatever Portuguese we could muster) but her English wasn&'t too bad either. Chilled a bottle of wine for us, answered any questions, we asked to change rooms to get a view of the town hall which was also no problem. Hotel was in a great location, city center on a little side street - effortless to wander straight out and around this attractive city. Rooms had nice high ceilings, balcony on the street and all at a great price. We tend to go for cheap places to spend instead on food and drink as we are out and about discovering the city most of the time during weekends away so this hotel worked wonderfully for us.

They actually didn&'t have space here, so they put us up in Hotel Paulista, another property owned by the same people, 2 blocks away. It was nicer than what we were expecting; it&'s a 2* hotel.
