It's a funky place - you'll be basically staying at a house of a surfer family with all the other people intersted in surfing. It was an interesting change from all the regular hostels and hotels and a nice place to socialise in a very imformal atmosphere. The location is not exactly central, the village is about 20 km from Sintra, and you most probably need a car to feel comfortable getting there.

Its location althought it is not in the historic town of Sintra as they described.

Great family run hostel. If you are looking to try surfing or a surfing holiday, i highly reccomend this place.

Very laid back, friendly relaxed and interesting. hostel was also a surf school which was a bit of a surprise as we are in our late fifties! good fun though
