Great location, novelty value of sleeping on the boat, staff up-graded me to a private room as I was the only guest on the boat, really silent - such a great nights sleep!

Novelty value alone. A tremendous pousada worth staying on just to say you have. Really basic facilities, but the boat itself is about one thing beyond typical hostel stays. I stayed two nights and woudl have found far more a bit tiresome without anything else to do on board, although Viana do Castelo is a breathtaking place.

In the summer, it would almost certainly be fun to be on the deck of the ship. The employees were warm and friendly and helpful
