Ekaterina is a lovely woman, smiling and interesting. Thank you, it was a real pleasure meeting you. The hostel is easy to reach wth frequent (and cheap) buses from/to the city center and train station. So the fact that it is not in the center doesn't really matter.

The place would be really nice, if it wasn&'t so incredibly dirty and run-down. you can&'t really use the cooking area or the common room, due to the fact there&'s old food and rubbish lying around everywhere. Also the rest of the apartment is full with old stuff, so the environment ist not really nice. It&'s pretty far out of town and really hard to find. Positive: Hot shower and internet, helpful staff

The place is okay, even though remote from the center of the city and pretty hard to find. Not the cleanest and the funniest place, but it seems that competition within the hostel business is pretty low in Kazan.
