The location is absolutely great inside the heart of Moscow, only mins walk to the Kremlin and Red Square. There are many restaurants and minimarts inside the neighborhood along with the cost to stay at a la Russe is cheap. Keep in mind that this is a budget hostel, so don&'t expect high standards on showers, restrooms etc. I stayed in a private single room and felt secure there. There was TV (Russian channels only), hairdryer and a large bed. There was also a heater since there were no radiators inside the room. The staff is extremely warm and friendly and helpful and speak good English. All in all, a la Russe is an exceptional budget alternative for travellers who do not require such high standards but focus on experiences during the daytime and just need a location to sleep at night.

Private double is equipped with TV, kettle, small portable heater and hair dryer inside the room. Good location inside the middle of Moscow.

Good location and fun and somewhat helpful staff. Everything worked and cleaning staff was attentive. Lots of construction, but stops at night and shows the hostel wants to create excellent improvements and investment for the future.
