This is the worst hostel we have stayed at to date on our travels. The only thing it really had going for it is they registered our Visa for free. The showers are full of mold. Wear sandals in them. Walls in our room were covered in blood splats from mosquitos. No screens on the windows. Leave you windows open at dusk and your room will be filled with lots of mosquitos. The place is very run down and you have to walk lots of stairs as its on the 4th and 5th floor of the building. Don't take the elevator as the first day we arrive a handful of people were stuck in it for an hour. and its a TINY elevator. My husband and I with our backpacks could not fit in it. Beds were okay. Sheets seemed cleaned except mine had a big hole in it with another sheet sewn over the hole. Almost like a cut out the stain patch job rather then getting new sheets. Towel is listed as small. which is correct. It's pretty much a dish cloth and very scratchy. Bring your own. FInd somewhere else to stay if you can. Location isn't that great. There is far better in St. Petersburg. (which is a FANTASTIC city by the way! )http://dreamalittledream. ca

The staff were extrememly helpful, It was in a great location and I felt very safe and secure there. They register your visa for free for the duration of your stay at the hostel if youre there more than three days. There are lots of Russian people staying there so it has a more cultural feel than your average hostel. You can meet other backpackers over breakfast or you can easily keep to yourself if you prefer. I really liked it and would definitely recommend it.
