This mini hotel is a large re-arranged apartment in an old building. For the first time it can be not so easy to find. Specially late in the night, and specially if you do not speak Russian. Read carefully their instructions and find it on the map BEFORE arriving. The location is superb. Very close to the train station and metro station. It is the very center of the city, so you can easily reach most must see attractions of the downtown. The "included breakfast" consisted of only a yoghourt and couple of small sandwiches. If you need a more serious breakfast, you can find whatever you want in neighborhood cafes ($2-5 depending on your appetite). Also they have a microwave and a fridge at the hotel, so you can improvise your own meal. Free wifi in the room. Friendly staff, better than a typical Russian hotel. In general, fairly good value for this price. |

The genuine helpfulness of the staff. The refrigerator and microwave right in the room. Little snacks the owner placed in the room - meat and cheese, yogurt, cookies. |

It was very close to the Moskovsky train station, Mayakovskaya metro station and Nevsky Prospekt, so even if it wasn't downtown, nothing was very far away. The staff were all very helpful and were very quick to work out anything that came up. Our room was quiet and bright and the coffee they put out in the morning is fresh-brewed. Even though they do lock the outer gate at night, they gave us all the keys we'd need. No curfew, no having to call the staff via intercom. |

Location - hostel is in the centre of the city, very close to Nevsky Avenue and Moscovsky rail station. Service - helpful and friendly staff. Room facilities - bathroom ensuite, tv and microwave oven in room, overall - a clean room. A great value for money rate. |

How helpful the owner was. We turned up at 6 in the morning even though check-in wasn't until 12 and the owner came to meet us and let us in. |

Doesn't really have any atmosphere - it's nothing more than an apartment with rooms rented out. However, the staff make up for this - amazingly friendly and VERY helpful. Worth it for the staff assistance alone, but hardly a 'hostel' in the traditional sense. |
