Olga's Homestay

Olgas Homestay, as describe on this site, appear already great. But there is some words I would like to add given my experience. Ms. Olga has strong human values, a broad knowledge of the Russian society and a long history of international relationship, all of that combine in a no cost open mind. So, the term employees cant apply with these grande dame. Given she had a career as a French professor at Ulan Ude University, traveled around the planet throughout various decades and for the very good quality of his family history, Ms Olga share a bright glimpse of CCCP/Russia for people who likes conversation and bon gout. Located at the centre of UU, 400m of Lenines head and 750m of the railway station, Ms Olga welcomed us in a prime quality environment, which worth even the camp bed we used inside the salon on the first day of our late arrival. An administrative employees helped Ms Olga as us with info and a follow up of our arrival.

Olga was very warm and friendly and helpful and cooked us a meal inside the evening. We were able to communicate due to the fact she spoke French

It's a lovely flat with an incredibly lovely and accomodating hostess. She doesn't speak English and unfortunately we don't speak Russian, but she really went out of her way to communicate with us, even calling English speaking relatives on the phone so they could tell us things we need to know. Also delicious breakfasts and homemade jam!

Olga and her family and friends made me so welcome, they were helpful beyond what was called for. If you feel the need for home cooking and atmosphere then Olga's is the place to be. Olga's cooking was fantastic and she is a fantastic lady, anyone missing home and family go to Olga's

Olga was a very sweet woman, who was very accommodating and went that extra mile to help us sort out our visa registrations. We really enjoyed our time at Olga's, she is in a very central location, which is also not far from the train station. She also arranged for us to be picked up from the train station, even at 6:15am this was not a problem. Her breakfast was really yummy too.

This is literally the only hostel/homestay in Ulan Ude! Family cooks fantastic breakfast (including bilinis). Natalia is very helpful and speaks great english; she purchased our onward bus tickets at no extra expense and also met us from the station. The location of the homestay does not match the map on hostelbookers, it is in fact situated at the bottom of lenina (but nonetheless only ten minute walk to the primary square. )

Olga is pretty and cooked us superb breakfast for 50 roubles a day. She also hung out washing for us when we were out.

A delightful HOstess who aimed to please. She served a great breakfast. She almost did too much for us. Was surprise it was a apartment and not a house. We were put inside the livingrom but were later switched into a bed room. Extremely clean spot close to the centre of town.
