The Merith House Hotel

The location is nice even if it&'s needed to take a bus or taxi to go to the city centre. Our room was nicely clean and every single day the hotel employees cleaned it up whilst changing our linen. The breakfast is extremely early (7-. 8. 30) and the beds extremely comfortable. Right in front of the great Leith Links park!

The Merith hotel describes itself as a budget hotel on it's sign before you enter and that is what you need to expect. It is a great place to just rest your head and get a good nights sleep, and then wake up a very yummy, yet early, breakfast (7-8. 30am) before heading off into Edinburgh. The trip into Edinburgh takes a good 15 minutes on the bus through a rather unsightly town, as the hotel is actually in Leith. To give the hotel its dues, it is exactly what you pay for: a budget hotel perfect for sightseeing if you don't mind public transport. I'd stay there again :)
