Very quiet, very good kitchen facilities, pool looked nice (although we didn&'t swim due to the fact it was too cold! )

Staff was extrmely warm and friendly and helpful. Facilities were excellent. Definately the very best hostel we have stayed in. Thanking you all of the way from Ireland. :)

Blue sky had a nice large kitchen with pots, silverware and china. They also have a compost for food waste making it seem eco-friendly.

The rates are cheap but you get nothing more than a bed and a shower as the staff was particularly unhelpful when it comes to transports to go to Durban centre. Don't even think that you'll be able to visit Durban or go anywhere for the night if you don't have a car and the taxi to town centre is about 220 R as the hostel is at 30 min drive from Durban centre. (which is equal to a night for two people at the hostel! )

Good hostel but not stunning. We were there for Christmas and there were families staying, which gives an indication that it was a nice place to stay and a close walk to the beach, but can't accurately judge on atmosphere. Nice staff, and a good pool in the back garden.
