The lodge we stayed in was really good. Great value for money. The owner helped us a lot and took us on an impromptu tour of the local township, and ensured that we could do the nearby bungee jump even though we hadn&'t booked.

The place didn't quite meet my expectations. First they had difficulties in finding the booking made through HostelBookers but it got sorted out rather quickly and was just a minor problem. However it seemed that they we're not too organized with other things either and if you asked for something today it might already have changed by tomorrow (bookings for activities, transportation). They do not really offer many of the activities they advertise and are not too eager to help you if you're not interested in one their "own" activities (makes sense as they only get revenue from those they can organize themselves). Same applies also if you ask for places to eat etc. So it felt more like if you're not spending your money with us you definitely should not spend the money on anywhere else either. Exactly the opposite service one gets used to in good hostels where if they cannot offer something they are glad to point you to the right direction. The rooms, bathrooms and the common areas were ok and sleeping was not a problem. So the best is to have your own car, only sleep at the hostel and do day trips from there.
