I arrived at the airport late at night having not previously booked a hotel but booking was easy and after being ripped off by the taxi (beware the hidden service charge, whatever that is!) I was warmly received by the owners who were extremely helpful with no English but were very lovely and patient. The bed was comfortable, the room clean and the bathroom down the hall clean also. In a very central part of Madrid I could walk to the Prado, Reiner Sophia and to the metro stop for the airport. Right opposite the hotel entrance was a lively cafe with some of the best local cuisine I have had in Spain. the hot chocolate and churros were to die for! A great start to my travels Spain.

Very well located, rooms are small but comfortable and clean. It is also quiet enough to enjoy a good night of sleep. Don't go there for party or very long stay since there is no kitchen facility. Wireless internet works very well. Perfect for 2-3 days stop in Madrid

The hostal was clean and the staff were friendly. There are two things in my opinion that let the hostal down are that the rooms are small (if you are only planning on sleeping in the hostal this shouldn't be a problem) and the other is that it's on the 3rd floor and there's no lift. I think i counted 57 steps. But other than that i had a very pleasnt problem free stay.

This hostel is close to everything - shopping and the main district of madrid. however, the staff do not speak english and that prevented me to communicate with them.
