Not far from Anton Martin Metro Station. Good Value for money (breakfast included), and helpful staff. Local area lots of places to buy food that could be prepared at MAD hostal kitchen. Communal lounge with free internet access. |

The breakfast was not enough only one dounut and a couple of juice thats all. The showers are very small and not on the room. Good was the room for the bags (free) and it`s was the cheapest hostel in whole madrid. The location is good only few minutes from the subway away but on the way are much graffiti |

The location was great but thats about it. The bathroom was never cleaned while we stayed there and the room was freezing until we turned on the heater ourselves. The lady in the front desk was also very rude, but the other guys that worked there were all friendly. Would stay at another hostel when I come to Madrid again. |

Staff was not friendly at all. But the location and lounge couldnt be beat! Close to everything and easy to meet people. I felt very safe at the hostel, though its not very comfortable or clean. Bathrooms are kind of gross. Th hostel bar is a huge lie, doesnt exist, but we had so much fun meeting and talking to people from all places in the huge lounge. |

Potential to be a really good little hostel, but much like its partner down the road, Cats, the experience of staying here is spoiled due to the rude staff. Made us wait about 1h to check in as they were chatting away at the desk, never have a smile for you, and generally pretty militant about everything. Shame. |

The common room's quite cool and the rooms are clean and comfortable. But that blonde girl at reception needs to cheer up and stop treating people like they're priveliged to stay there, there are plenty of other hostels in madrid. Also, there are no hot taps for the sinks so having a face wash and shaves pretty uncomfortable and the water in the showers just about verges on warm. So, it should be great but isn't, and as it is, should definately not be 13-16 euros per night. |

Clean and tidy and the staff were helpful but the lounge area could be set out differently. If they filled it with a bit more seating instead of just round the walls the atmostphere would be better. The kitchen is a little room which is a bit understocked in the utencil department but it did the job. Not the best but certainly not the worse. |

This was my third stay and probably my worst - I was bitten by bed bugs and was put into a room by myself with 5 noisy Germans who only arrived at 2am. There doesnt seem to be a curfew on the noise and because all the rooms are around a central courtyard you can hear everything. There also seems to be a lot of youth groups staying. But otherwise its close to the metro, so if you just need something for the night, bring your own sheets. |
