Beautifully situated at the end of Gruyeres' medieval hilltop fortress, Hostellerie des Chevaliers is a sublime place to lodge in order to explore the surrounding Alps. Also, the buffet breakfast is delicious, as Switzerland's morning meals tend to be.

Excellent location, picturesque/quant decor, as well as the very best breakfast buffet I have had in my many travel experiences. A bit expensive for a very little double room. Old furniture, but clean and secure place. Too many people during breakfast. You think you're at a train station.
