The other travelers at the hostel were nice people. On the first day upon our check in, a very nice lady greeted us and showed us to our rooms. There were lockers obtainable for us to spot our things. However, no locks were provided so you have to get your own (the lady was very nice to pass us one though).

When we couldn't find a place to stay in Interlaken, we chose the Seeburg hotel, which is in Ringgenberg - a 5 min. train ride from the Interlaken Ost train station. The staff were very helpful and the room was nice and comfortable. Breakfast was included and it was quite good. The hotel is right on the water and has a very calm, peaceful feeling to it.
