Very cute hostel with a welcoming lounge and kitchen. Amazingly clean room and bathrooms. The front desk person, Vivian, was absolutely a great help in figuring out what to see in town and at Taroko Gorge. Tons of maps, schedules, and brochures are provided. While it is situated on the edge of town and away from downtown, it is an effortless walk from the train station. Walking across the town to the ocean takes about an hour.

The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff definitely! Even prior to my trip they dropped me a friendly confirmation email and I managed to get some help with understanding how to book train tickets to Hualien! Their replies were prompt! The rooms are brightly lit, painted in cheerful colours, which is aptly described by the name of this hostel!

The room we stayed in surpassed that of many 4 star hotels, spacious, scrupulously clean, with lots of light, a exceptional TV, its own wireless connection and a huge balcony facing the street. The service was impeccable, no effort was spared to give us informatiom and make our go to comfortable. As for amenities, the kitchen was entirely stocked and a pleasure to use. Bikes were also readily offered however they werent in the most effective condition, but that was made up by the fact that we were mostly not charged at all to use them and even shown another location were we could rent them for free. Would not hesitate to suggest this hostel and would stay again anytime.

The pillows are comfortable, the blankets are warm and clean, and also the whole hostle is well kept.

Feels spacious and was clean. I didn't stay long enough to find anything good/bad, or get to experience atmosphere. But there was a large living room area, with comfortable couches. It was pretty much as desribed by the hostel I think. Cab to the place from Hualien Station was $TWD125. Thanks to the employees for the ice for my twisted ankle, I think it helped. I have ice on my foot as I'm writing this ^_^
