I am so surprised by some of the reviews I&'ve ready about this hostel! I loved this place! I stayed at quite a few hostels in BKK and this was my favorite! I wish I had found it sooner actually. I was travelling Thailand, but Bangkok was my home base. Each time I returned to the city, Saphaipae was I would return to. They even gave me a far better rate on my return stays, even if it was just 2 days. They offer you a no cost cooking class on Wednesday, which was enjoyable and easy. The cafe presents outstanding coffee, and the restaurant presents fairly cheap food which is all pretty decent. The rooms are so spacious that you never felt like you were stepping over each other. They even give you an actual douvet and change it daily, no matter how long you are staying. I swear, there was someone cleaning something, all the time! The showers are really clean too, which was a huge thing for me. I&'m tall so most of the time, the shower heads are too low. Not here! They are mounted high, and have outstanding water pressure. Plus, mini vanity mirrors with small shelves and individual hair dryers, so each girl has her personal space to use. There are common areas on each floor to watch tv/dvd&'s and a library of no cost rentals. Also, there is certainly a floor for female only, which I liked since I could run from my room to the shower in just a towel and I felt comfortable.

Handy location close to Skytrain station and Silom area. Very clean and nice shared bathrooms and the dorm rooms seemed well equipped and the hostels services were very good - affordable washing and a wake up call at 4. 30am!

This is a brand-new establishment in a decent down-town location. It is a large property reminiscent of some of the more popular branded European hostels. There is certainly a huge lobby with sofas, Wi-Fi, restuarant, outside baclony/dining area, decent maps on the wall swipe card access. In short, everything appears to be nicely thought out and nothing is left wanting. The rooms are extremely clean along with the bathrooms are immaculate. There is certainly a TV room on each floor and smoking balcony. There is certainly nothing not to like about this hostel apart from the fact I do not own it. I have lived in Bangkok ahead of and it is nice to see a down-town hostel start up and challenge the crap up at Khao San road. I recommend staying here as this is down-town bangkok and a lot of people head up to Khao San, stay up there nder the impression it is Bangkok, become scared of the rip-off taxi/tuk-tuk conglomerate and never discover the rest. This is in a ideal location just off the Sky Train to which you can get anywhere (Hualomphong station or the airport {dunno how to spell that}). Dont isten to the earlier feedback on here proclaiming it is too far from anywhere due to the fact those are the people that believe Khao San is the centre of the Bangkok universe. IF you nonetheless want to go to Khao San road from here, the ferryboat is one stop away and it costs 11baht on the Chao Praya ferryboat which is an experience in itself. Go on book now!

Well, what can I say. I like everything about this hostel! As soon as I reached Bangkok [around 10 am on 25/12/11], I already fall in adore with this hostel. And this is my first time backpacking out of my country. I like its location, which is a 5min walk to the Surasak BTS Station, its 24 hours check-in without no extra charge, the rooms, the toilets, the atmosphere, the safety feeling whilst you were there, its coffee, its Web station. You can even extend your take a look at time to 2 pm without no extra charge! And simply because I adore this hostel so much, I even extended my stay for another day simply because I just feel sad to leave this spot and also the city of Bangkok. I really suggest this spot in case you want a quite but nice, cheap, comfortable and very good hostel.
