Firstly the property owner was extremely welcoming and friendly throughout my stay. The location was also pretty good - very near to all of the key attractions in the city. The dorm was comfortable and spacious, with good beds and large lockers. Would definitely stay here again if I come back to Istanbul

The hostel was nice and clean, beds and pillows were snow white. Hosea and other staff were very nice though his English wasnt too good, we got by using notes and body language (well and google translate). A large breakfast is served every morning, freshly made, don&'t miss it! I enjoyed having breakfast and looking out the window. it was an exciting neighbourhood.

I wasn&'t looking for a party hostel, so I loved the quiteness of the hostel. The beds were extremely nice and comfortable. The morning breakfast was also extremely good: cheese, tomatoes, cucumbers, olives, bread, tea or coffee, and different spreads for your bread.

5 minutes walk from Sultanahmet Square. Nice common room and breakfast included. The employees are very helpful.

The couple who owns Piya Hostel are truly lovely, great people, and my finac&e and I really felt at home, safe inside the neighborhood, and fell in adore with the charm of the hostel. We rented the apartment, a extremely comfortable modest studio with a private entrance && bathroom just close to the hostel. We ate breakfast at Piya and were within extremely basic walking distance of the main attractions in Sultanahmet. We&'ll definitely stay at Piya again when we travel back to Istanbul, and I plan to recommend it to anyone traveling to Istanbul. It made us feel right at home!

The location is perfect. The shower is hot and also the heating is good, which is crucial in January when Istanbul is freezing. It offers a shuttle that can pick you up and take you back to each airports at numerous times of night and day for much less expensive than a taxi. Also the web connection is excellent and also the place is very clean. Also we booked for three nights but lost the plain and arrived a day late but they didn&'t ask us to pay for the night we had lost.

The hostel was only a short walk from the old city, being really near the blue mosque. The area has a lot of hotels/hostels so there were a lot of travel agencies, convenience stores and restaurants. The turkish breakfast in the morning was included and perfect.
